THE REQUIREMENTS OF A PRIEST

We are redeemed so that we may occupy a priestly office,but before we go into detail concerning how God expects us to function as Priests.What is the definition of a Priest according to God? To a Priest means to have intercourse with God,it means you have a relationship with God.

Priests are people who know God and are known by God.Now what are the requirements of a Priest?Priests carry people's burdens to God and carry God's burden to the People.

What marks the significance of our Priesthood it is sacrifice.Priests are expected to offer sacrifices continually,they must understand sacrifice.

However we now fall under the category of the New Testament Priests;These Priests differ from the Priests of  the Old Testament,because instead of animals being brought as a sacrifice,we offer Prayer as a Sacrifice, because Jesus on the Cross became the Sacrifice,Him being the highest Priest raised an Altar and poured Himself out unto Death,but what does this mean child of God,Jesus made intercession on the Cross unto the point of death.And so we too as Priests should stand in the gap and Jesus did and offer the Sacrifice of Prayer.
