✨ 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍:
We don’t like to wait. Waiting feels like delay, like punishment, like silence. But in the kingdom of God, waiting is not wasting—it’s preparation, it’s protection, and it’s positioning. 𝐈𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐇𝐞’𝐬 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬..


𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐡 𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝. To try and make things happen in our own time, our own way. 

𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝟒𝟎:𝟑𝟏 gives us a powerful promise: those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. Not lose it. Not waste it. Renew it. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝.


The Hebrew word for "wait" in this verse implies a binding together with God, like strands of a rope twisted tightly. 𝐒𝐨, 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠—𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐰𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐦.

𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭. It refines our motives. It tests our hearts. It weans us off of impatience, pride, and self-dependence.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐦—𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 25 years for Isaac. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡—𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 over a decade for his dream to unfold. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬—𝐇𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 30 years before stepping into public ministry. Delay does not equal denial.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮—𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮.. The wait is developing spiritual maturity, character, humility, discernment, and worship that is not based on results but on relationship.

When the wait is over, you’ll understand why it took time. 𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫.


𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭. 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐡, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐚𝐜. When you wait, you’ll soar like an eagle. Eagles don’t flap; they glide on wind currents. You’ll be carried by the Spirit, not striving in the flesh.

So 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐮𝐩. 𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐨𝐮𝐭 of the will of God just to feel in control. 𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 your timing to someone else’s. 𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞—𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞.

🙏 𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑:
Father, thank You for the waiting season. I confess it’s hard, but I know it’s holy. Help me not to rush, not to grumble, and not to give up. Teach me to lean into You while I wait. Strengthen me to soar in Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
