THE BLESSING OF HONORING YOUR LEADER

Many believers enjoy receiving from their pastors, but few understand the spiritual power in honoring them. Today’s devotional will challenge you to embrace a kingdom principle that unlocks reward and longevity—𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫.

📖 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠:

There is a spiritual blessing attached to honoring the vessel God has placed over your life. In the kingdom of God, honor is not about flattery or personal favoritism—it’s a divine principle that opens portals of grace.

When you dishonor a spiritual leader, you close yourself off from the anointing they carry. Jesus Himself was dishonored in His own town, and the Bible says He could do no mighty works there (𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝟔:𝟒-𝟓). Why? Because dishonor blocks the flow of power.

But when you honor your leader, you’re not just honoring a man—you are honoring the God who sent him.

Honor is demonstrated through attitude, speech, giving, and loyalty. You cannot claim to honor someone you constantly criticize, disregard, or neglect.

David had opportunities to harm Saul, but he refused to touch “𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝’𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝.” He understood that leadership comes from God, and to dishonor a leader is to dishonor God’s order.

💡 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫:
You can never receive from a mantle you dishonor. The oil flows from the head down (𝐏𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝟏𝟑𝟑). If you want to partake of the grace upon your spiritual father, position yourself through honor.

🙏 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫:
Lord, teach me to walk in honor. Forgive me for moments I spoke carelessly about those You’ve set over me. Let me become a vessel of support, respect, and encouragement to my spiritual leaders.
